The world as we have known it has changed in so many ways and many of us have felt those changes internally as well. Times like these can be a great opportunity to deepen and expand our understanding of who we are. How we experience our lives is a combination of what happens to us and how we respond.
Committing time to learn new ideas and practices can enhance self understanding and help us have more choice in how we respond to our world. Cultivating awareness and understanding can deepen the experience of wellbeing while feeling centered and clear. This in turn, helps us act in our lives with greater wisdom.
Laura is offering a very special meditation class series this fall. She will teach a variety of meditations and practices to help cultivate greater ease, wellbeing and insight. In addition she will offer monthly teachings centered around the ideas, understandings and writings of Dr. Elmer Green.
Laura was a close friend of Dr. Green, who was a pioneer of the Consciousness Movement that began in the 1960s. He was also one of the founders and creators of Biofeedback Therapy. Dr. Green had truly novel ideas and understandings of the multidimensional nature of consciousness and reality.
Laura spent many years in groups with Elmer sharing his insights and perspectives, as well as having hundreds of hours of one-on-one dialogues with him. He encouraged her to not only share his transpersonal ideas with others but also encouraged her to teach her own unique understandings of the nature of reality.
Elmer E. Green, PhD. (October 10, 1917 to March 5, 2017)
Elmer devoted his life to the idea that people can develop voluntary control over internal physiologic functions that are normally involuntary and to research and teaching about states of consciousness and spiritual development. He was one of the scientists who invented biofeedback and began research of it, working alongside his wife and colleague, Alyce.
