Welcome to Prairie Hollow. This Kansas agritourism site provides you the opportunity to experience a small piece of the tallgrass prairie ecosystem.

We have a series of connected walking paths that wind through the fields. The approximately 1/4 to 1/2 mile of paths all loop back on themselves making It easy to find your way. Please stay on the paths as we want to preserve the delicate prairie grasses and flowers. This is wild land so be alert to snakes and other animals you may encounter. It Is safest to leave the animals alone and watch them from a distance. There may be patches of poison Ivy along the path as well as other plants with thorns and oils that might irritate your skin. Use common sense, wear sensible shoes or boots for walking. You may wish to use bug spray if you are concerned about insects & ticks.

There are a number of different ways you can engage with this space. You can simply stroll the grounds and enjoy nature. There are several nature id books which you can borrow to help you identify trees, grasses and flowers.

You can also plan your time here as a mini retreat. Whether one half hour or a day, you can plan to relax and enjoy the prairie. We have a number of seating areas along the path which may be used for meditation and contemplation. We also have a lovely walking labyrinth with a bench in the center at the head of the trail.

If you are interested in meditation and don’t really know how, you can schedule time with Laura to guide you in meditation and help provide you an outline for how to structure your time here.

In addition, Laura has an art studio/meditation space & gift shop where you can purchase her one of a kind prairie inspired jewelry, scarves as well as her handmade fine art botanical prints. If you are interested in learning, you can schedule private classes for yourself or groups in art or meditation.

In our stressed and busy world, Prairie Hollow is designed to be respite. A place where you can come to relax, rejuvenate and experience a deep peace within yourself that you can take with you when you go.

Come and enjoy peace of the prairie.
